5 The uniqueness of Indonesia's nature that amazes the world. Consisting of many islands and oceans, Indonesia is known as a country rich in natural beauty, from mountains to the sea to rice fields and forests.
However, of the many natural beauty of Indonesia, there are 5 places that are considered a miracle, because the facts, forms, and stories that accompany them are very interesting.
1. Ijen Crater
Located in the Banyuwangi area, Kawan Ijen at first glance does look like an ordinary volcano, just like any other mountain. But late at night you will see the sulfur from the volcano will turn blue and surround the environment. If you want to visit here and witness its natural beauty, you are advised to wear a gas mask.
2. Masalembo Triangle
This is the uniqueness of nature in Indonesia that is not inferior to the Bermuda Triangle which is known for its awesomeness. The Masalembo Triangle is an imaginary line connecting Bawean Island, Majene City, and the Central Islands which are in the Java Sea and including the Masalembo territorial waters. Several sea and air transportation accidents have occurred in this area.
It turns out that there is a logical explanation for the many accidents that occur there. This is because the Masalembo Triangle is located in the middle of a location with different wind directions so that the air pocket that surrounds it creates a light tornado that can cause any object to be sucked in by the wind, either upward or into the sea. This occurs at certain times of the year, such as December to January and July to August.
3. Taru Manyan Tree
Taru Manyan is a special tree in Trunyan Village, Bali. Why is it special? Because this tree is used to lay the bodies of local residents. If you visit here, you will find many corpses that are only placed near the trees.
This tree is said to have magical powers because it makes corpses odorless. No matter how much corpse money is put down, the smell will just disappear.
This Taru Menyan tree is approximately eleven centuries or more than a thousand years old. This tree is said to be the oldest tree in Bali and can still grow today. Uniquely, although many have tried, none of them have succeeded in planting Taru Manyan trees elsewhere.
4. Lake Kalimutu
Kelimutu Lake which is located in the Ende area, Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara. This lake has three colors, namely red, blue and white, which can change colors. The color change, according to scientists, is due to changes in volcanic gases and it could also be due to the presence of iron in the fluid which produces red and dark brown colors.
5. The eternal flame of Mrapen
Nyala Abadi Mrapen in Madura is one of the most famous natural wonders in Indonesia. According to local legend, Mrapen's eternal flame appeared when Sunan Kalijaga stuck his stick into the ground to find water. As it turned out, what came out was the eternal flame which is famous until now.
However, according to scientific opinion, eternal fire is a geological phenomenon, namely the leakage of natural gas in the ground. This fire will not be extinguished, even with rain and wind.
